Do I need a background check?

This depends on the customer you are providing delivery services for or the broker you accepted freight from. In general, most courier companies that are looking for drivers for scheduled/repeating deliveries will order a background check and MVR check on all drivers handling contracts for their company.

I have not been able to get hired to one courier or driving job due to having a past criminal record 20 years ago. No one will hire I have seen. Is there any place that will? Driving jobs seem to be the worst for this.
